This series uses the ocean as a metaphor that simultaneously dissociates and connects different countries, people and cultures. Sea glass found on various Scottish beaches cover the images of different beaches in Brazil. It's a series about finding a sense of place, belonging and roots. What I experience in Scotland I will never live in Brazil; what I experience in Brazil I will never live in Scotland.

Some of these pieces were shown for the first time at The Sutton Gallery in August 2015 and at the Edinburgh Art Fair in November 2015. One of the pieces was also exhibited at the Visual Art Scotland, in the exhibition Converge 2016.

These pieces are taking part of the exhibition re:place; a collaboration with artist Jenna Corcoran. The show will take part in the gallery Whitespace, from 25th November to 1st December 2016, in Edinburgh.
